Your support makes a tangible difference in the lives of K-9s working to keep our
communities safe. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have already provided critical support to K-9 units in Colorado. Over the past 9 years, donations for caring community
members like you have funded:
 Acquisition of 16 K-9s: Donations provide funding to acquire dogs with the right
temperament and personality for this specialized work. These dogs have been placed with
five law enforcement departments across the state, supporting a variety of critical roles,
including drug detection, search and rescue and therapy.
 Specialized K-9 Training and Equipment: These K-9s have received the necessary
training and equipment to safely perform their jobs, including therapy dogs working with school resource officers in elementary and middle schools in Arapahoe County.  The safer the K-9 the safer he can keep his handler.
 K-9 Health: Donations help provide regular vet care to ensure K-9s are healthy and fit to serve, specialized care and emergency care in event of illness or injury in the field.
Thank you for supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of law enforcement K-9s by providing funding for safety and training equipment, and health care needs, and expand the team of K-9s to meet the needs of communities. You have made a difference in the lives and wellbeing of these dogs, and the schools and communities they serve.

The School Resource Officer Team at the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office visited assisted living centers on December 11th.  It was wonderful seeing the residents eyes light up when they saw the dogs.  One lady said she was so depressed until she learned about their upcoming visit.
